The 58th assignment is a haiku poem from the renga sequence “Three Poets at Minase” or Minase sangin hyakuin. Renga is a type of collaborative poetry with linked 5-7-5 and 7-7 verses. It was composed at the Minase Shrine on the Minase River in 1488.
